With hundreds of thousands of new Web pages and newsgroup postings going up on the Internet each and every day, it is little wonder that news will travel very quickly in the wired world--whether you want it to or not.

Agence Virtuelle, a Geneva-based software solutions firm, has recently come out with a new bot that may track down information almost as fast as it gets put online.

Called RumorBot, this specialized search bot will be able to track down and monitor any gossip or buzz being generated about a given person or company. Using Agence Virtuelle's real-time analysis for keywords technology, RumorBot can apply up to 44 customized search bots in the hunt to track down information.

Agence Virtuelle has positioned itself reather well in this new arena, straddling the search engine fence by supplying client bot products as well as tools to get more site recognition from search engines. These solutions are done in both the XML and NQL programming languages.

Agence Virtuelle has states that it is working on the development of the next generation of Internet monitoring and watch dog solutions for web clipping and competitive intelligence marketing applications, using the RumorBot concept.
