Intelliseek recently announced a new beta update of the web’s largest search
site, ProFusion.com. The new ProFusion, wholly owned by Intelliseek, provides direct access to the Invisible Web with the ability to search over
1,000 targeted sources of information, including sites like TerraServer, Adobe PDF Search, Britannica.com, NY Times, and the U.S. Patent database.

The Invisible Web is what Intelliseek calls the hundreds of thousands of sites on the World Wide Web that are not driectly linked to the "mainstream" Web sites. Sometimes referred to as Deep Web, it is estimated to be more than 500 times larger than what traditional search engines can index, according to estimates from Intelliseek.

In addition to accessing more of the web than any other search engine, ProFusion is reportedly the first intelligent search site that automatically targets relevant sources by detecting the context of a user’s search. Then the user can set alerts to automatically run the search in the future on the web or on selected sources for specific information, with notifications delivered to email and wireless devices.

In addition to Search Alerts, ProFusion also offers Page Alerts, which enable users to monitor specific Web sites and pages, such as a company’s news page, and report when relevant information appears on that page.

ProFusion has already attracted some allocades from leaders in the bot community.
